Your Daily Routine For Oral Health

Most Gresham locals will know that they need to brush their teeth at least twice daily. But do you know what a complete daily oral health routine looks like? It’s about more than just brushing your teeth.

Brushing Teeth

Of course, your oral health routine starts with brushing your teeth. Get all surfaces of your teeth, use gentle circular motions, and brush for at least two minutes.

Flossing

At least once a day after brushing, floss your teeth as well. Be sure to floss both sides of each tooth. Use a long enough piece of floss, about 45cm, that you’re able to move on to a clean piece of floss every time you switch teeth.

Cleaning Your Tongue

Whether you brush your tongue with your toothbrush, use floss to gently scrape your tongue, or use a tongue scraper, you should make sure to clean your tongue. Bacteria can build up on your tongue and lead to infection and disease.

Using Mouthwash

Mouthwash is used to clear debris left over in your mouth after brushing, flossing, and cleaning your tongue. Switch mouthwash in your mouth for 30 to 40 seconds before spitting it out.
